Get Unstuck From...The Frustration, Anxiety, And Restlessness Of Not Knowing Your Life Purpose And Direction

"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation, and go to their graves with the song still in them" -Henry David Thoreau

One of the most recognizable movie characters of all time is Forrest Gump. He led a life most people could only dream of; he attended University of Alabama on a football scholarship, was a decorated war hero who visited the president twice, and became rich with the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. And yet, after all that success, he asked his mama on her deathbed, "Mama, what's my destiny?" She answered, "I don't know Forrest, you're going to have to figure that out for yourself."

Some people are born knowing their purpose in life. As a young boy, this future NHL Hall-of-Famer would sit in front of the TV watching hockey and dreaming of winning the Stanley Cup. In 1997, Captain Steve Yzerman led the Detroit Red Wings to their first Cup win in 42 years.

Others discover their purpose later in life. After losing his long-held government job, this southern gentleman with an outstanding recipe for fried chicken was encouraged by his neighbors to sell it to them instead of give it to him, as he had been doing. That was Colonel Harlan Sanders, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken. He was 63.

How and when you discover your life purpose (if ever) is different for everybody. Sometimes you have it from birth. Sometimes you are thrust into it by a tragedy. Most of the time you have a restless feeling that you should be doing something else with your life.

In this program I will introduce you to the 3 components of discovering your Life Purpose:

1. Life Purpose Questions

2. Life Purpose Essential Ingredients

3. Life Purpose Characteristics

An example of a Life Purpose Question is, "What do you love to do so much that you would do it even if you didn't get paid for it?" This question invites you to think about the things in life that bring you the greatest joy; that move you at the soul level. Here we will discover the WHAT.

Life Purpose Essential Ingredients deal more with the HOW. It is not enough to just know what your Life Purpose is, you must have the traits that will drive you to ACTION in pursuing it. I once read that the only "hell" you will ever experience is knowing what you're capable of and not achieving it. Two of the Essential Life Purpose Ingredients are: (1) Courage; to listen to, and follow your inner guide that has always been there quietly waiting for you to respond; (2) Patience; like Forrest Gump, to "keep on keepin' on" when you are struggling inwardly, like working a job you hate so you can feed your family.

People who are living their Life Purpose possess certain common characteristics. One of Life Purpose Characteristics is an abundance mentality. They rarely worry about money as they are so focused on work they love. Remember the old saying, "do what you love and the money will come?" These people do. Here we take a close look at the WHO.

What is the thumb print you want to leave on the world? Together let's find out.
